ABOUT MARTIN
Martin Kierszenbaum, the Grammy Award nominated founder of the Cherrytree Music Company and longtime manager for Sting, will be the featured speaker for the Detroit Music Awards Foundation's first Master Class, taking place at 7 p.m. Monday, September 16 at the Schaver Music Recital Hall in Detroit. The session is a joint presentation by the DMAF in partnership with the Wayne State University Department of Music.
Hailing from Lansing and graduate of the University of Michigan -- where he formed the critically acclaimed rap duo Maroon -- Martin has worked as a producer, manager and record label executive for Lady Gaga, Madonna, Keane. LMFAO, Disclosure, Ellie Goulding, Shaggy, Feist, Samantha Fish and many more. He has also worked for Warner Bros. Records, Interscope Records, A&M Records and the PolyGram Music Group. He is a recording artist as well, under the moniker Cherry Cherry Boom Boom, and is part of the rock group Detroit Dreamers.
For the Master Class, Martin will be interviewed by award-winning music journalist and Detroit Music Award co-founder Gary Graff, followed by the opportunity for questions from the audience.
